“Making mini Manuel A. Melendez”

When book author Manuel A. Melendez commissioned me to create his mini-portrait sculpt, his request was that I portray him standing with a book in hands, dressed as in a provided photo, and that, somehow, the end result would serve in a functional capacity. He wanted it to be able to hold his business cards.

Manny was greatly surprised and delighted to see that I had included mini-reproductions of the various books he’s written, along with a bookcase with a removable shelf, sized just right to hold business cards!
